EXHIBITIONS
The first public space where Lucília exhibited her
work was the Calouste Gulbenkian Planetarium in Lisbon. She
gave it the title Espaçonumerática - uma linguagem científica e simbólica (SpaceNumeratics
– a scientific and symbolic language). Other exhibitions followed in the
Auditorium of Gondomar and the National Press Museum, in Oporto; in
the Exhibition Centre of Valongo; and in the Old Town Hall of Viana do Castelo.
In these places, the title of the exhibition was not changed, and the
exhibition also kept its original structure, being divided into the following
themes: Anthropomorphic Pedagogy; The Egyptian Canon of Proportions;
Religion, Art and Science. Later on, wishing to integrate her
research in a global perspective that might include the whole history of
Creation, Lucília modified the previous structure of her exhibition so that it
could be presented in a global and coherent context and gave the last two,
which took place in Viana do Castelo, the town where she has her roots,
different titles: From Genesis to Apocalypse- a scientific and
symbolic perspective (for the exhibition which took place at the Municipal
Museum), and Bible – Teaching, Tradition and Culture (for the one which
took place at the College of Technology and Management).
In some of these exhibitions, Lucília had the
opportunity to develop and present a teaching resource with the help of a group
of children, as shown in some of the following pictures.
